Karel Dejaeger

Karel Dejaeger graduated in 2009 as business engineer at the Department of Decision Sciences and Information Management at KU Leuven and has obtained his PhD in 2012.  His research entails the following subjects:

  • Software effort estimation
  • Customer churn prediction
  • Regression rule extraction techniques
  • Credit scoring
  • Data quality improvement in a data mining context
  • Social network analysis

Additionally, Karel Dejaeger has also tutored exercise sessions concerning database management and SQL and provided guidance to master thesis students. His findings have been published in well known international journals including Decision Support Systems and IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering; his research was also presented on several international conferences including Euro Lisbon 2010, ICEBI 2010 and ICIQ 2010. He is also coauthor of the financial data quality questionnaire adopted by a major financial institution, which can be obtained on simple request.
